Dodecyltrimethoxysilane is an organosilicon compound, chemically known as n-Dodecyltrimethoxysilane, with the molecular formula C₁₅H₃₄O₃Si, a molecular weight of 290.51, and a CAS registry number of 3069-21-4. This substance appears as a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature. After hydrolysis, it can undergo dehydration and condensation reactions with surface hydroxyl groups, forming a Si-O-Si cross-linked network. In materials science, it is used for preparing durable water-based superhydrophobic coatings. For example, superhydrophobic TiO₂/DTMS coatings synthesized via a one-step method maintain a water contact angle greater than 150° even after mechanical abrasion, immersion in acidic or alkaline solutions, and thermal treatment. It is primarily applied in the modification of engineering plastics, waterproofing and corrosion protection of buildings, fog prevention on glass surfaces, and related fields. As a silane coupling agent, it improves the compatibility and waterproof performance between inorganic materials (such as glass, silica, kaolin, ceramics) and organic substances (such as plastics, rubber, adhesives), thereby enhancing the mechanical properties of the resulting products.

Applications:

1. Widely used for waterproofing and anti-seepage treatment of cement-based materials and natural stone surfaces, offering excellent water-repellent performance;

2. Applied in surface modification of various powders, especially thermally conductive fillers, effectively improving thermal conductivity efficiency;

3. Used as an additive in cement and concrete to significantly enhance the anti-seepage properties of concrete structures such as dams.

Packaging and Storage:

Packed in 20 kg cardboard boxes containing four 5 kg plastic pails; alternatively in 200 kg PVF steel or plastic drums, or 1,000 kg IBC totes.
