Propyltriethoxysilane

Propyltriethoxysilane is an organosilicon compound with the chemical formula C₉H₂₂O₃Si and CAS No. 2550-02-9. It appears as a colorless, transparent liquid at room temperature. It is soluble in various organic solvents and readily hydrolyzes to form propyl silanetriol condensates, releasing ethanol in the process. Primarily used as a coupling agent or surface treatment agent in the rubber industry, it can react with silica surfaces to form precipitates, thereby reducing the viscosity of rubber compounds and improving processing performance. It is widely applied in tires, footwear, and mechanical rubber products. The ethoxy groups in its molecular structure can participate in hydrolysis and condensation reactions, making it a useful organosilicon intermediate for synthesizing high-molecular-weight compounds.

Applications:

This product is a multifunctional silane that can form precipitates on silica surfaces, reduce viscosity, and improve the processability of rubber mixtures (by controlling precipitated silica fillers). EB-302 is extensively used in the tire, footwear, and mechanical rubber industries.

Store in a sealed container in a cool, well-ventilated, and dry place. Protect from moisture and fire hazards. Available in 200 kg drums or IBC totes. Other packaging specifications can be provided upon request.
